You should know what your Minecraft server is actually running on.
Instead of a vague label like premium CPU, we publish the real hardware behind each location. The first node is being put together now, so anything not yet decided is marked as such rather than filled in with something plausible.
EU Node 01
Europe, launch region
- CPU
- Confirmed at launch
- Memory
- DDR4 or DDR5, decided with the final node
- Storage
- NVMe SSD
- Network
- Confirmed at launch
- Protection
- Upstream network-level filtering
First game node. Exact CPU, clock speeds and port capacity are published here the day it is racked.
Future nodes
More capacity and more regions will be added as demand justifies them. Each new node gets its own card here, with the same specs filled in, before any server is sold on it.
Why the CPU matters more than the RAM number
Minecraft runs the world on a single main thread. Ticking entities, redstone, mob AI, chunk generation and most plugin work all queue up on that one thread, and the server can only run 20 of those ticks per second before players start to feel it.
Adding RAM does not make that thread faster. It stops your server running out of memory, which matters, but a plan with a large RAM figure on a slow, heavily shared CPU will still stutter under a busy spawn or a chunk-loading world.
That is why we publish the processor rather than a marketing word for it, and why the RAM in each plan is paired with a sensible share of CPU instead of sold on its own.
What we publish for every node
Want a spec that is not listed? Ask at shardhosting1@gmail.com and we will either answer it or add it to this page.
Exact CPU model
Not a tier name like premium or high-frequency, but the model number you can look up.
Memory type and speed
DDR generation and configured speed for the node your server runs on.
Storage type
NVMe, and whether the array is mirrored.
Uplink and location
Port speed and the country the node physically sits in.
