This policy covers refunds and cancellations for Minecraft hosting, website hosting, and Discord bot hosting. It is part of our Terms of Service. Your rights under local law are not affected: nothing in this policy affects rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

1. How you pay

Prices are in US dollars (USD). Standard billing is monthly, through Stripe. A subscription renews on the cycle shown with your order until you cancel it. A one-off invoice does not renew.

2. When we refund

We only refund when something is wrong with the service on our side. We don't give refunds for a change of mind.

What counts:

  • an outage on our side that stops you using your server
  • you paid, but we didn't deliver your server
  • connection problems for you or your players caused by our network or servers
  • a mistake by us, such as charging you twice or the wrong amount
  • a problem with our service that we couldn't fix

What doesn't count:

  • you changed your mind or no longer need the service
  • problems caused by your own mods, plugins, configuration, or code
  • things outside our control, such as your own internet connection or your players' own connections
  • your service was ended for a serious breach of our Acceptable Use Policy

We don't offer an uptime guarantee, compensation, or automatic credits for downtime.

3. How to ask for a refund

3.1. Open a ticket on our Discord at https://discord.gg/shardhosting or on our website at https://shardhosting.net/tickets, or email [email protected]. Please ask within 7 days of when the problem happened.

3.2. Tell us your account email, your plan or invoice, what went wrong, and when it happened. Don't send card numbers, passwords, or API keys.

3.3. We review each request and reply. Sending a request doesn't mean it will be approved.

4. How refunds are paid

4.1. If we approve a request, we may give a full or partial refund, depending on the problem.

4.2. Refunds are made only through Stripe, back to your original payment method. How long a refund takes to show depends on Stripe and your bank.

5. Cancelling

5.1. You can cancel at any time. Email [email protected] or open a ticket on Discord or at https://shardhosting.net/tickets. We handle cancellations manually and confirm when they take effect.

5.2. Cancelling stops your next renewal. Your service keeps running until the end of the period you've paid for. You can ask us to end it sooner, but ending early doesn't on its own make you eligible for a refund.

6. Files after a service ends

For 14 days after your service ends, you can ask support for your recoverable files. After that, files and backups are deleted, unless the law or an open dispute or security investigation requires us to keep them.

7. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can look into it. You can still raise a dispute with your card issuer where you have that right. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend your account, but only while the dispute is open. Honest disputes are not treated as fraud.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy. We'll announce significant changes on our website and Discord, and by email where appropriate.
